Our vision is to offer high-quality services and support delivered in respectful, inclusive environments, and to extend our reach to individuals with intellectual disablity and co-occuring mental health diagnoses who need our services.
Our Philosophy
The philosophy of the RLG is to support individuals with disabilities in self-direction, personal choice, and control over their lives. This demands that everyone is respected as unique and autonomous, and then provided with all necessary support to reach their goals and accomplish their dreams. RLG advocates for individuals with disabilities to live a life filled with the same opportunities that everyone else has. We believe that everyone has the right and should be supported to pursue happiness and fulfillment.
It is our belief that people with intellectual/ developmental disabilities, mental health diagnoses, and other special needs can live safe and satisfying lives when provided appropriate support, life-skills training, opportunities for community inclusion, and treatment if appropriate. It is our steadfast commitment that people we serve can pursue fulfilling, contributing lives and overcome difficult circumstances. We strive to help individuals by facilitating an environment that provides hope, empowerment, choices, and opportunities that promote people reaching their full potential as individuals and community members. There is an emphasis on peoples’ strengths, hopes, dreams, and aspirations.
